What’s new

What changed in MatchFund, newest first, and where to see it.

Better-qualified matches

16 Oct 2026v1.1.0
  • Strong now needs a stated focus on your sector

A match is Strong only when the investor says it focuses on your sector; when we can't tell, it reads Conditional and says "No stated sector focus".

    Where: your investor list

  • Investors' conditions, in their own words

Investors that only back their own programme's companies, need revenue first, or back B2B companies only now say so on the match, quoting the investor.

Where: match cards and the investor page

  • Two quick questions

When a condition depends on you, a one-tap question above your list asks whether you have revenue yet, or who you sell to.

Where: your investor list, and Settings

  • Ruled-out investors are set apart

Investors you don't qualify for no longer count as matches; they sit in a closed "Ruled out" box after your last match, each with the reason.

Where: the end of your investor list

  • Accelerators and angel networks get the same labels

Strong and Conditional with the reason, and a network's round size compared with yours.

Where: the Accelerators and Angel networks tabs

  • Their cheque, separate from the rounds they joined

An investor's page labels what they invest per company apart from the whole rounds they took part in, and the cheque filter now uses their cheque.

Where: an investor's page, and the filters

  • The evidence behind each check

Under the match score: the deal or the investor's own words behind each check, and when we checked.

    Where: an investor's page

  • What's new

This page, and the version you're on in your account menu.

Where: the account menu, top right

How to pitch, and sector exclusions

15 Oct 2026v1.0.0
  • How to pitch

Each VC's page says whether it takes an online pitch form, an email or introductions only; Members get the link or address.

    Where: an investor's page

  • Sector exclusions

An investor that says it doesn't invest in your sector is marked Unlikely, quoting its own site.
