How matching works, where the data comes from, what’s free, and what we do with yours.
Matching
How does matching work?
Two checks first: can this firm invest at your stage, and where you’re based? A firm that fails either isn’t on your list. Firms that pass get a score out of 100: cheque size 45, sector 40, geography 15.
What do the two checks look at?
Stage: your stage has to be one the firm invests at. Geography: we look first for a deal the firm has done in your country, then at where it says it invests, and only if it says nothing, at where it’s based.
How is the score worked out?
Cheque size: full marks when the firm’s cheque overlaps your raise, half when it’s close. Sector: full marks for your sector, 60% for a generalist, 50% for a neighbouring sector. Geography: full marks when the firm names your country, half when it covers your region.
What score counts as a match?
90 or more, by default. Members can move the line to 100, 80, 70, 60 or 50. Scores of 80 and up are labelled a strong fit, 60 and up a good fit.
What are “closest matches”?
When nothing meets your line, we show the firms that pass both checks but score lower, then those that fail exactly one check, with the reason on the card. A firm that fails both is never shown.
Two firms have the same score. Which comes first?
The more active one: more deals in the last 12 months, then the most recent deal.
Does my business model change my matches?
No. We ask for it, but it isn’t part of the score.
Can I look around without a profile?
Yes. Choose “Explore investors first” when you sign up. Results aren’t scored until you add your round, which takes about two minutes.
The data
Which investors are included?
VC firms, accelerators and incubators, angel networks and individual angels, mostly across the UK, Europe and the US: 2,000+ in all. Family offices and private equity aren’t listed.
Why isn’t a VC I know listed?
We only list VCs with an investment in the last 24 months. Every investor also needs a way to reach them, a description, and a stage or cheque size.
Where does the data come from?
Public sources: firms’ own websites and public profiles, portfolio companies’ announcements and the press. We use AI to compile and check it, and a person reviews flagged changes before they go live.
How often is it updated?
Every month we re-check each firm’s website and LinkedIn, add new deals, and take out VCs that haven’t invested in two years.
What does “Verified Sep 2026” mean?
It’s when our monthly check last reached the firm’s website or LinkedIn and found it live. It doesn’t mean every field was re-confirmed that month.
Where do recent deals come from?
The firm’s own announcements and portfolio, and the press. A firm with no deals listed may still be investing; each page says when we last checked.
Something on an investor page is wrong.
Use “Something wrong? Report an inaccuracy” on the page. Reports go to a review queue, and nothing changes until a person has checked it.
Deals report
What is the deals report?
A free monthly report on the pre-seed to Series C+ rounds announced in the UK, Europe and the US: where the money went, the typical round by stage and region, the biggest rounds and the most active investors.
When does it come out?
Around the 10th of the following month. Every round shown publicly is checked against its source first.
Is it every round?
No. It covers the rounds our monthly research finds across the investors we track and the outlets we read. Acquisitions, private equity and IPOs are left out.
How are amounts converted?
Each round shows the amount as its source states it. Totals are in US dollars at European Central Bank reference rates.
What do I get when I sign in?
Every round, not just the top 5 at each stage, with links to the investors’ pages and which of your matching investors backed a round. It’s free.
Plans and billing
What’s free?
Your matches and fit scores, full investor profiles and every round in the deals report. Free accounts get 3 searches a day and the top 5 results of each. Re-running a search or switching tabs doesn’t use one.
What does Member add?
Emails and LinkedIn for 7,000+ partners, recent deals on every VC’s page, unlimited searches with every result, the fit filter and a saved shortlist.
How much is it?
$24 a month or $229 a year. Tax is worked out at checkout.
Is there a free trial?
No. The free plan shows you your matches before you pay anything.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, from Settings, then Billing. Your plan runs to the end of the period you’ve paid for.
Do you give refunds?
Payments aren’t refundable, except where the law requires it.
Where are my invoices?
In the Stripe portal: Settings, then Billing, then Manage billing.

Do you introduce me to investors?

In the US, with Supabase and Vercel, under standard contractual clauses for people in the UK and EU.
